Glaze Ingredients

Method:

Boil ham according to instructions, until cooked (depending on size of ham it will be between 1hr to 1.5hrs) add bay leaves and a splash of Barti to the water while cooking for luck.

While the ham is cooking mix all the glaze ingredients together in a saucepan and warm on the hob.

Remove the ham from the water and let it rest. Remove skin and score the fat. Stick cloves into the ham fat and pour the glaze liberally on top, cook in the oven at 200c for 30 mins or until the fat is crispy and golden.

Enjoyed best on Boxing day with salad, bread and a glass of the good stuff.
